Software Engineer II

Location

HelixIntel adds talent for in-office, hybrid, and remote roles. This role allows for remote work with occasional travel to team gatherings. Our company is based in Buffalo, NY.

What you will do

  • Design and develop components of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and future products
  • Take ideas from zero to production
  • Help to shape the future of our department by establishing patterns and taking on new responsibilities as we grow
  • Participate in code reviews since no one works alone
  • Help triage issues from users
  • Participate in a team lunch and in-person meeting one day a week

What you bring

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience or equivalent
  • Experience with programming in Python and JavaScript preferred, but we can help with learning the language details if you have been using something else
  • Experience with a modern client-side web framework preferred, we use Vue
  • Experience with a server-side web framework is preferred, we use Django
  • Experience writing unit tests preferred
  • Experience with relational databases preferred, we use PostgreSQL
  • Experience with build & deployment automation preferred, we use CircleCI
  • Experience with version control systems, we use Git

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $150,000. The range represents the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is influenced by the work location and other factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
